I hope this album is like 17 songs long again

 

As the seemingly only casual fan of this band I am aware of, I like this 10,000 times more than the last single.

 

what this song is missing a repetitive guitar riff that spans the entire song

this song is bonkers good lord. As someone who loves both of these songs I am in a literal high on how much i love this band and think they can do no wrong..

 

there's 2 kinds of people in this world..

people who love the guitar work in GYAT and people who are wrong

 

I don't mind the repetitiveness of the riff, but damn there is something about the tone that just hurts my ears after a while. I can't listen to that song as loud as I would like.

Is there any other band that can pull off the lyrics Matty does? I can't think of one where I not only think it works, but I think it elevates the song.

He’s an insanely talented writer with one of the most unique styles in modern music. I can’t think of anyone who writes similarly, and on paper half his lyrics shouldn’t work but in context as you said they somehow elevate the song. Its almost like his words, not just his voice, are another instrument. It’s wild

Would make sense. Will still have the box like the first 2 albums, but distinctly different to be part of this MFC era. Could definitely see both ABIIOR and Notes on a Conditional Form having similar album art to be part of a pairing.
