Uncharted creator Amy Hennig has departed EA, and her Star Wars game is "on the shelf"

 

It would be nice to see him given some alien or creature role in one of the upcoming films. Like in a cantina scene.

Looks like Johnson implied that Chris was being eyed for a Star Wars film and the backlash from Johnson's tweet drove him away. This fandom is batshit crazy.

 

Directing a Star Wars at this point is just walking on thin ice with a steadily increasing temperature. The fan base is growing more demanding and irrational by the week.

 

I hate the fans of one of the most important pieces of art in my lifetime.

 

No joke. Ahmed admitted today that he almost committed suicide due to the Phantom Menace backlash, Jake Lloyd had trouble growing up after his role and eventually stopped going to conventions, and Hayden’s career never recovered and he is still ridiculed.

Not to mention the backlash against Boyega and Ridley in TFA and Johnson and Tran in TLJ. The fan base has been toxic ever since the release of episode I but due to social media they can actual gather and make their voices louder. Not liking the movies is fine but people need to leave it at that. I hear fans talk more about what they don’t like than what they do like and it’s so counterproductive. The actors they harass are not fictional characters but too many of the fans are too dense and prideful to care.

I think whats ironic and the funniest thing about this backlash from the fans, is they think that if enough people complain and raise hell they are going to make Star Wars better. Yet as we see with McQuarrie, the more people complain and the louder they get, the less likely creators are going to want to be involved because if they dont give fans what they want their just going to be ostracized and constantly tormented and if you make a character they hate they are going to torment them as well like Ahmed, Hayden, and Kelly and you'll feel responsible for that too.

Since they are so upset with this "SJW propaganda" or whatever and constantly harrass people like Daisy, Kelly, and Kathleen, I feel like POC or women directors/writers/actors are going to be less likely to want to get involved in all this shit and deal with the type of bigotry.

Also now any creator will be less willing to be more creative and try new things because of that fear. And even if they aren't afraid to be creative they won't want to be involved with a production line involving Disney thats now going to be afraid to try new things and push the boundaries.

So idk. Im just kind of ranting. Basically Rian and Kathleen aren't destroying Star Wars. These fans are actually destroying Star Wars and I say that non-hyperbolicly. If they keep this up, nobody is going to want to be involved with this shit.

 

Why would someone want Feige for Lucasfilm anyway? He is the best thing at Marvel and needs to keep his focus on that. I wouldn’t want someone who uses a full MCU cinematic planner for Star Wars. I’m indifferent on Kathleen, though. I like that she was able to make a solid introduction to the sequel trilogy but she shouldn’t have approved stuff like Solo, Boba Fett, or the cancelled Mos Eisley Cantina film.

 

Wait was that a real thing? I thought that was a joke.

 

Apparently Disney had already prepared a spot at Pinewood studios to film it.

Stumbled upon this. Hearing Sam explain this scene made me appreciate it so much more. I got some of those things, but missed a lot of those connections. This scene was about as close as you can come to being perfect.
