I’m such a sucker for acoustic drums with this band

I'm super into the bass groove on the chorus and whatever that high pitched tone at the end of the phrase is

 

Yeah i wouldve never imagined what the vocal melody was going to be just based off the lyrics

 

That's why I don't read lyrics before hearing the song. It rarely comes off well

I was p concerned about it, tbh, but I personally feel like he delivered the line with enough obvious vitriol that it works for me. I think the song itself being pretty intense helps too, I think it’d be more off-putting if it were in the context of a more upbeat song. Completely understand how this wouldn’t be the case for others tho, it’s a totally valid criticism.
