That guy makes a post almost every week complaining about blink using co-writers on the new album. Most people in that sub know how to handle him by now.

Well yeah of course, Thrice are unquestionably one of the best rock bands around. But in regards to promotional campaigns interviews are basically always the exact same, and the different way they've approached the same thing intrigues me. Big business blink will hype their latest release to the hills then trash it afterward in prep for their next one, where Thrice are just upfront and honest from the off. Honesty will adhere me more to someone way more than the same focus group decided answers that we get from people like Green Day and blink nowadays.

 

Thrice have pretty much no image to protect compared to blink who - being as prominent as they are - have an image to worry about. That's why they have handlers telling interviewers to not ask about Tom

Trio always does acoustic performances, that'd be cool if they do more of that since Matt is in the band now.

 

Does anyone want to be a hero and record the acoustic performance to share? I don't really know how to do it myself and my loud ass kids would be playing in the background.

I really enjoy acoustic sets by some of the bands. Can't wait to see a pro-shot acoustic set by blink!

 

An acoustic "Bored To Death" should be interesting. And if they play something like "Apple Shampoo" acoustic, but not on the actual tour, I'll be upset.

Man I'd love for them to do a proper acoustic album of old jams like Alkaline did with Damnesia

 

Yea, I never thought that blink's material would translate into acoustic renditions extremely well without the arrangements changing a bit and maybe adding some different layers to the instrumentation. But Skiba did a good job on Damnesia so I actually feel a little better about a blink acoustic performance with him on board.
