thinkin outta the box but the background for those titles has always been space, so I doubt it.

Okay, hang on. If that piece of trash Grace Randolph was the one who "broke" the news, then maybe it's not true. Probably a false alarm, so let's not worry yet

Yeah highly doubt that, and if it is true then an even bigger fuck you to the entitled little shits that make me question publicly claiming to be a fan of the franchise.

If she willingly stepped aside then idc. If she thinks it’s best for JJ to have complete control then let’s see. JJ did well on TFA.

To me it would depend on why she steps aside if she does it herself. If she does it to avoid the hate, than that’s not cool. Not on her, but on the fandom for creating the atmosphere that she feels that. Bunch of man babies.

JJ may have also asked to be given more creative control. I don’t think she would step away just because of complaints online.

I don’t believe it, especially from that source. Also I really hope Episode 9 is incredible so this shit can stop. Because it will. Most of the toxic fans will crawl back into their holes and not be heard of. Theyll definitely give all the credit to JJ and none to Kennedy, but they’ll at least shut up. Stealing a sports phrase, but winning cures everything.

Also just watched mission impossible 3 and loved it so I’m really hyped on another JJ Abrams Star Wars even more than I already was.

Considering JJ favs Russell and Grunberg (Snap Wexley) are going to be in episode 9, anybody think Simon Pegg will reprise Unkar Plut? I think he said he didn’t like seeing behind the scenes but I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes an appearance. Maybe they go back to Jakku?

This isn't actually true, is it...? I am not seeing any mention of this any of the places I get my entertainment news. This would be hugely disappointing to me.

Yeah sorry, y’all, I was not aware that was a gossip rag. It was the first article Google suggested I read earlier for some reason and I fell for the clickbait.

Rewatched TLJ the other day and got pretty disappointed that this isn't coming out this December, but I guess if they need more time to make it as great as possible that's fine.

I'm so excited to see what happens with Kylo and Rey, and I'm pretty conflicted in what I want to happen. I just want to watch this right now!!!!

Depending on where they go in this movie, I would be totally down for them to continue their characters in another trilogy or other movies in general beyond.

I'd be fine with the characters being in another spin offs, but after this trilogy is done I don't think they should make another for a while.

I’m also glad for the long wait. Aside from the more time to make a better movie and pushing to the better Christmas time release m, I and I think this fan base needs time to chill out a bit. Well get Resistance coming soon and then we’ll be getting a lot in the future with two other series, spinoffs, and a tv series.

It was such a smart decision to not push Solo back, and give a year and a half between these films. I almost wouldn't mind if Episode IX had been pushed back further, though if they're sure they're ready, go for it.

Maybe Solo would've done better with more time, but it probably always was gonna be Disney's lowest performing Star Wars. I hope they wait a long time before giving us a teaser or even title for IX. Really build up that hunger and anticipation for more Star Wars. (Not that Star Wars fans aren't already ravenous to a fault, lol. But, average movie goers could start taking it for granted. IX deserves to be the biggest deal since VII.)

I agree, I don't think the title should be announced until Star Wars Celebration day next April, with the release of the first teaser most likely.

I assume IX will follow the same roll-out as VIII, they released the title in January, first trailer at SW Celebration in April, new trailer ahead of a big summer movie, then nothing until tickets on-sale October/November.
