What are the most beautiful post rock records of the last few years? I haven’t listened to the genre in ages but recently re-fell in love with EitS.

 

My favorite of the past few years is Dust and Disquiet by Caspian but it gets really heavy in parts

 

Not sure if these are considered post-rock as I’ve felt fairly removed from the genre, but the new Gaussian Curve album from last year was great. Also check out new I Think You’re Awesome and The Fun Years.

 

Normally I hate vocals in post-rock, but these dudes are Indian, so my inability to understand them prevents me from being distracted by potentially shitty lyrics.

 

The music video for Castles High, Marble Bright by Caspian still gives me chills

 

Ryan Mackfall is the best

 

New Caspian is long overdue. Dust had such an excellent dynamic between the loud and softer stuff. Would love to hear more of that.

 

Meandering, somber, occasionally jazzy, really prominent horn section. It's real pretty I tells ya.'

 

that video got me even more hype for the Defeater doc he’s been filming.

 

I’m excited for that. I wonder what the final product will be considering the years of footage he has completed with the band

Except not actually new though as each track was released as a single over the last year and a half, but they've finally officially compiled them all and given it a title. So, fuck it, it's getting posted.
