An Alien blockbuster is coming to a comic shop near you this November! William Gibson's original, unproduced Alien 3 script is brought to life by artist Johnnie Christmas: http://bit.ly/wgalien3

Featuring vibrant colors by Tamra Bonvillain and variant covers by James Harren, Daniel Warren Johnson, Paolo Rivera, Tradd Moore, and Christian Ward, William Gibson's Alien 3 is the "what if?" fans have been asking for!

The Belko Experiment hit HBO so I checked that out finally. It was entertaining, but I think Mayhem was the better of the two films. Belko kept having all these little segments that seemed like they were going to be relevant that eventually led up to nothing haha. So many characters just died after being propped up like they would be affecting the plot in some way. Made me laugh

Yeah, Mayhem is definitely superior. It at least gave a good plot related reason for the characters to make the decisions they did.

Upcoming horror from Fantasia to look out for.

real talk i stand by: the early dinner scene of You're Next was by far the best the film had to offer and if Wingard had stuck to that the film would have been significantly better

I never did get around to watching Mayhem. I did enjoy The Belko Experiment though.

Hmm, not sure what you're getting at here...Are you saying that you wish the movie was more like The Invitation instead?

i was in the minority that yea didn't love its take on slashers. besides the ruffle of centering around family complicity, it just wasn't that funny, inventive, or subversive to me; just loud and mean. which, you know, that's chill but imo wasn't nearly as clever as it was regarded.

the dinner scene has so much great characterization and camera work and acting packed into a really tight scene, and i think illustrates what i would have found a lot more interesting of a dynamic in exploring rooted family conflict in violent, nonsensical scenarios. but, particularly with centering on an non-family member, it lost a lot of the tension that i thought was compelling.

    (for reference...)

I got so sad at you're next ngl. As douchey as the family members were nobody deserves to be surprise killed by their own family and I got v emotional lol

For real though, I fucking love the scene where the girl wants to fuck on the corpses.

There’s a handful of horror movies that I’m pretty sure I’ve seen but left basically no impression and I think that’s one of them.

Just got done watching The Eyes Of My Mother. What a great fucking movie, wow. Instantly a favorite.

watched The Invitation earlier, thought the first half was really bad, the first 40 min is just an extremely awkward/bad get together and i wanted to get out of there more than anybody else, but then it gets going and becomes more interesting, really kept me guessing how it was gonna end.

BTW, if you're not on Shudder, you should give it a shot.
The Joe Bob Briggs Last Drive-In 24 hour marathon has been quite awesome. Especially if you grew up watching Monstervision.

Streaming has been a little spotty for people due to some services being lesser than others but they're putting up all 13 films on demand so can make your own marathon.

Netflix doesn't have the best horror lineup here, so if Shudder becomes available in my region I'll obviously get one.

Thought that The Autopsy of Jane Doe had a lot of potential but then it declined in the third act. There was a super creepy Moment that was really well done.

Finally watched the Belko Experiment and I’m furious at how disappointing it was. I adore everyone involved and the idea sounded cool but uuuuuuuugh. 88 minutes has never seemed longer.
