Listening to it right now and it sounds fine.

YCLB grew on me. Honestly if I had to pick a weak track on this album it’s I Felt It Too, but I still love that one.

You Can't Look Back is one of the best songs they've ever written. I loved it's Tom Petty vibes

The whole record calls back to 90s era Petty and I love it for that

YCLB just never ends. It's a 4.5 minute song that should be 3 minutes and feels like 9.

I Felt It Too is the better of the ballads on this record.

WYWTB will always be my favorite but I don't see how people can talk up Tell All Your Friends 15 years later, that shit is pretty rough looking back. Haha

its raw and a few tracks are whack but its charming and nostalgic and i dont think that's a bad thing or a bad reason to rank it high, nostalgia is powerful and not a bad thing (always, sometimes it is).

Nostalgia is a powerful tool. Don’t get me wrong I still love TAYF and some of the great songs it holds, but it definitely has aged

i think its speaks to the strength of an album when it elicits such strong memories in people, to where i still listen to it semi-regularly and not once in a blue moon just to remember what it sounds like.

WYWTB is far and away my favorite TBS album, but Tidal Wave is pretty good

there's my not so hot take

I'm very nostalgic for their first 3 albums but I mostly skip TAYF when it comes on. You are definitely right though, anyone who listened to that album will jam out to Cute without the E mid car-ride any day of the week

Honestly probably one of the most well known songs of that particular generation. I was always amazed in college at parties when it would come on and the whole room would shout along.

If I have to rank them, in my personal opinion

    Where You Want To Be
    Tidal Wave
    Louder Now
    Happiness Is
    Tell All Your Friends
    Self Titled
    New Again

Though again I love all their albums and spin them all frequently

just a hallow bass drum sound. Its rough on self titled as well. I've never loved how they mixed their drums until tidal wave tho

Yeah they’ve definitely had a few good ones, but these last two have not been very good in my opinion.

This album still holds up for me as well. The first five tracks flow so well together, it's damn near impossible for me to skip around if I start from the beginning. And I still think Holy Water is top tier TBS.

    WOT.

YCLB is fantastic. Did you mean to say "Faith" or something else?
