Seems unnecessary, why do you hate Tom so much?

 

This thread is unnecessary, too. What’s the point?

I think he is a washed up has been who hasn’t produced anything of value in over a decade, but still wants to act like he could join blink at any time. He is the last person I would ever want involved in anything blink at this point.

 

It’s hard but I feel the same way. I love Tom and always will - but dude needs to stay the fuck away from blink. Like them or not with Skiba or Feldy but they’re productive and happy for it. If they did half the amount of songs with Tom as they have in the last 3.5 years, it still wouldn’t have been worth it. How short our memories are, it would seem.

 

Quality over quantity.

 

Makes sense - the most creative member of the band who has been in the band since day one is the last person you want involved? Nice...

 

If ripping off U2 licks and reusing his own stuff over and over is what qualifies as creative, then sure.

 

Quality?? Sure. That ship sailed LONG ago, my friend.

 

Did you not like Dogs Eating Dogs? I was super excited for the next LP after that dropped.

 

His demos EP (supposedly written for blink) had no business even being brought to Mark or Travis for consideration lol

 

Personally I think if some of those songs had been fleshed out with Mark & Travis' input they would have been great. Hell, I'd go as far as saying "Golden Showers.." is better than the title track on California.

 

Using the word quality in reference to Tom is fucking hilarious.

Yea man sorry but there is no quality after Untitled.Everyone has different taste,sure,but Skiba sounds more Blink than anything Tom produced after Untitled

 

Especially the way he started singing after Untitled and We Don't Need Whisper is awful....but same I would never say I hate Tom,Iam glad for music he gave to my youth but he's not that Tom anymore and has different interests.People would probably never hate on Tom if he stopped using his power or whatever he gained with Blink when he clearly has no any interest in band besides the money and using the name for his own business that has nothing to do with Blink

I don't know, I think Tom still has more creativity than Mark.

 

Don't get me wrong I love Mark but he's just boring.

 

I will never understand this argument that Tom was only in it for the money. He is the one who stepped away from the band. Mark & Travis continue to trot out the hits every night in the set-list, and have a Vegas residency. Seems like they care more about milking this band for the cash than Tom ever has...

 

Watched the Joe Rogan interview with Tom last night....WTF. The craziest thing to me is that, even though some of the stuff he was saying has been proven true (e.g. secret gov't office to ID "aerial threats" actually existed), with his presentation style I couldn't take anything he said seriously. Like he kept saying over and over that he "put things together in a way that no one else had" and that he couldn't "talk about that right now." What a trip...

 

Creativity does not equal quality.

 

Sure it does. Tom's creativity drags me in more than Mark's boring bass playing and his boring vocals.
