This is so frustrating. My PayPal statement is showing I’ve already paid for it. Hopefully they get this shit cleared up soon.

I won't be listening to The Grey (any more) or any other singles. Going in as fresh as I can.

Say what you want about Brand New's rollout last year, but getting the entire album at once gave me a new appreciation for holding off on the media blitz and all of the singles.

I managed to stay relatively blacked out for TBEITBN, but I did overplay Blood on the Sand, and listened to Black Honey once, before release.

I really enjoyed hearing the new Arctic Monkeys with no preconceptions going into it. I think a band needs to be a certain size to do that though. Getting media coverage each time a single drops is important for bands.

I agree with this approach. Especially since Jason said earlier in this thread that they will almost certainly pre-release the first three songs. I want to hear the opening track "Only Us" fresh.

Definitely not listening to anymore singles. At 10 tracks and having already heard one, don’t want to hear more before I can spin it all the way through.

I’ll listen to all the pre-release tracks, probably hundreds of times. I’ve listened to the Grey at least 20 times over the past few days.

Same. Not that I don't get the appeal of waiting to experience an album in full, I've never been one to delay gratification when it comes to music. I'll download the leak when it drops because GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE ALL THE THRICE.

I mean, I have no shame in grabbing the leak. I have thrown a couple hundred dollars at them for the year. They are seeing my money.

I also don't say all of this "go in fresh" to the album in any kind of uppity way. It's just how I prefer to take in and participate in the process. To each their own.

You guys have more will power than i do. I'm listening to the next single when it comes out.

I would prefer to listen to a whole new album at once, but the instant they release a song there's no way I'm not listening haha

no idea where to start here. first of all the grey sounds like beggars and TBEITBN combined, and no that doesnt equal major/minor. second of all have you even heard their other records how on earth is m/m your favorite its so weak comparatively on every level

M/M is a great album and I don't hear any beggars on the Grey. If anything I hear mostly TBEITBN and if anything, some M/M mixed in :-)

I like major/minor, still think it’s holds up as a solid album

because im not trying to read about brand new ever again in my life. the mere mention of their name is triggering to a lot of people, including myself.

When M/M first came out there was so much love for it. This recent backlash against it is kinda weird, but what ya gonna do?

its almost like people's perception and opinion on art and media changes the more time they spend with it. but what ya gonna do?

Nothing wrong with that example for describing what he was saying.

i think there's something extremely wrong with bringing up that band in any context
