I'm surprised they didn't just hold the "The Grey" back until today. It was released on June 5th. Perhaps, they didn't know their vinyl status yet, and wanted to get some hype building? It seems like we're not getting a 'Sand' and 'Honey' treatment this time. I'm not sure how Epitaph usually works, though. Vagrant loved to do two singles in advance. However, everybody seems to have more confidence in "The Grey" as a first single than "Blood on the Sand." The fan reception to "The Grey" is also more positive than 'Sand.' I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get another "single." Then again, Dustin has alluded to the fact that we'd be hearing more of the album soonish. Several times, in fact. So, who knows.

 

the album is more than 2 months out. I'd be shocked if they didn't release another song or 2 before then.

 

Of course they're releasing three to four songs from this.

Just please don’t be the first 3. I will overplay them.

I'm really excited to hear both of the other two, so that's totally fine by me.

 

With TBEITBN, we got 'Sand' two months ahead of time. Then, 'Honey' was released one month ahead of time. 'Death from Above' was released 5 days before the actual release.

(Basically, I'm being super pessimistic so the opposite happens.)

So, in a month, we'll get another track is my guess. They assume the video will hold us over as well as the pre-order excitement.

 

Don’t obssess over the past too much, every album is marketed and planned differently, you know this!

Well I guess I can start ton track 4 on my first listen (jk)

 

I’m going to hold off on any other pre-release tracks. I want my first listen to be as fresh as possible after overplaying Blood on the Sand and Black Honey to the point where it took multiple listens for them to truly feel like a part of the album.

 

Major minor is my favorite thrice record so I’m def feeling the grey’s vibe

 

Yes, Epitaph changes the pattern completely.

By the way, I'm digging Emma Ruth Rundle. Been listening all day. Female vocals over dark music hooks me instantly.

Sadly, I'll think I'll be skipping 'The Grey' for many months. I've played it to death despite my half-hearted attempts not to.
