I understand the sentiment behind "go high," and the idealized world of what humans/politics could be. But, it's, uh, a farce. It's always been a farce. Throughout all of history politics is power, power is politics, and "the high road" is not part of it. More Machiavelli reading. Less "but dear good sir think of the norms."

How is this even possible? That's like not even a year's tuition

 

Basically not going to a state school for some or all of school, and qualifying for pell grants and federal loans helped.

I went to CC and then a small private non-profit university and ended up with roughly 20K in debt. I coulda ended up with a lot less but I took the max amount of federal loans because we needed the money.

 

I can’t describe my anger.
