Man. I've only listed to this all the way through maybe 3 or 4 times so far, but this could turn into my favorite Thrice record since Vheissu. It's essentially exactly what I wanted from them this time around, expertly written, straightforward rock music. early favorites are The Window, Hurricane, and Black Honey. My excitement level for the ATL date just went through the roof.

thanks for confirming! seriously thought I'd be the only sucker who got it. seems like it's not an uncommon issue, so probably not enough to contact support, I'd guess? I probably won't risk trying to playing it very much, which kinda sucks...

most folks have said they would have liked the clear one! I would be good either way. the more gray "marble" look works, I think clear w/ "smoke" would be really hard to read, and might just look clear with smudges or something.

I have a couple records that are tight like that, I wouldn't let it keep you from enjoying the record. Currently spinning my copy.

Here's my Instagram of the black copy. Feels thick, maybe 180g?

hmm, okay. any suggestions as to how to handle it? I really feel like I'm going to shatter the thing as it comes off. when I took it off the first and only time, I tried to "levitate" it a tiny bit, and sort of shimmy it left and right to leverage it off far enough, and then try to gently take it off.

sorry to take it off topic! record is great, still loving it after quite a few listens all the way through. hoping I'm not in a honeymoon stage with it as it's their first album in a while and I'm on a Thrice high after seeing and meeting them at Fingerprints.

I'm still learning to take off the right ones too. I try to apply pressure in the middle with my thumb on the peg. It's still tough.

I'll be at The Tabernacle for that show. Going to be a hell of a night.

I forgot how much I loved that venue until I was at the Underoath show in April. Gonna be special.

Anybody in here going to the Philly show in a few weeks at the Fillmore? I might have no one to go with so I'm down for some Chorus hangs if I wind up going solo.

The guitar riff on Hurricane is one of my favorites of theirs. Looove it.

Flying to NYC for the show. La Dispute and Gates are probably in my top 5 bands, so excite.

Ever since I noticed this, I see it every time I look at the artwork now. But the word "Thrice" on the cover is not centered. Not only that, but the E kind of looks wider than the some of the other letters. Could be wrong about the E. Kind of bothers me it being off-center like that ha.

The E looks more white. lol.

the ships have all sailed to the sea

If this is the caliber of material that they can write while living in different areas, then I can only imagine how amazing the next album will be, since they all live near each other again. If this is the "dusting off the cobwebs" album, then I anticipate the next album will be mindblowing.

The Tabernacle's got to be my favorite venue in ATL. Cannot wait.

So is that four people in this thread going to the Atlanta show? Didn't know there were that many Atlantans here.

I'm actually in Montgomery, AL, but Atlanta is my closest date.

    hmmm

I really wish I liked all of this. I majorly love about half of it and I like some of the rest of it. It's just two or three songs that don't really do it at all for me.

Man, really loving this more than I was expecting. Their last 3 or so albums just didn't really hit me that hard, but can't stop listening to this one.
