The harmonies of the chorus of Love Is Dangerous and the overall feel of the song reminds me of Violence.

I truly like Love is Dangerous and I know most people don't.

But that moment when Mark hits the higher note in "care about love, we care about".... That's what sealed the deal on the second time listening to that song.

  2. Box Car Racer was so fucking good. It's a shame that Angels & Airwaves was absolutely nothing like it. I remember hoping for a BCR type sound when AVA was announced... Boy was I disappointed, haha.

And don't even mention their bullshit "Letters To God pt. 2"...... That is classic Tom. Hyping up something, comparing it to an older thing, and then it ends up being nothing like what he said it would and it sucks ass.

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

I feel exactly the same way as you do about the whole thing. I-Empire was the closest thing we got from a BCR inspired release from AvA, and I'm still putting an optimistic look into it. WDNTW has its moments as well. I really enjoy songs like "Sirens", "Rite Of Spring", "The Machine" (that bonus track, not "Start The Machine"), "Good Day".

I'm a fan of "All That We Are" (oh, that guitar outro is really cool) and "Anxiety from the Love albums. I don't know, Angels has it's moments, but they are too far from what Tom did in BCR.

All That We Are's second half is cool but the opening lyrics are "The ice is really cold, the street lights are really old"

    Hard times, don't be fooled.

  6. Box Car Racer was pretty good in like 2003, anyone listened to it lately? It's so bad. The only albums that hold up worse were made by Taking Back Sunday.

I think it holds up perfectly fine.

Is that what Marks says? Because its hard for me to hear past his uninspired delivery. It sounds like Mark doesn't want to be there.

BCR holds some of Tom's best work. Letters To God.

I'm not even a huge fan of that album, but I'm also able to see how well some of those songs came together with Tom's attitude/passion at the time.

Agreed. I will still spin on occasion BCR, and TBS is in my top 5.

I wish I loved anything as much as Jason dislikes TBS lol.

Loved Happiness Is and am excited for even more improvement on the 3rd straight record with this group together.

  14. Truly some of the worst music recorded in modern times, just awful from top to bottom. One good album and a bunch of utter garbage. And BCR is not very good. It's a bad parody of better bands, but in the same way AvA badly apes bands no one likes -- it just happened to rip off bands that were kinds good. Still a derivative mess.

I think Neighborhoods would be a much better album if it didn't include Love is Dangerous, This is Home and Fighting The Gravity. Still wouldn't have been a great album by any means but still i think those songs bring the album down quite a bit

Saw Feldman at the Used show in Orange County tonight. Came onstage to sing with Bert and then stage dove. Made me extra excited for the new Blink.

The boxcar album and TBS are still great to me, but then I despise all the current music that is popular in and around this scene.

There is some cool stuff currently going on in the scene too. And I am not necessarily talking about The Hotelier.

Tiny Moving Parts, Foxing...there's some good stuff!

According to the kerrang article, the band requested not to be asked questions or to talk at all about tom. Someone will probably beat me to the punch but I'll try and post scans or something once I charge my phone.

I don't blame them. That's all Kerrang ever seems to ask the band every time they're featured in an issue, no matter how small or large the feature.

Surprised that Patrick Stump co-wrote Sober! Can't wait to see how that turns out. This Kerrang article came off kinda douchey at times. I'm not sure if the interviewer was a hardcore tombot but he/she wouldn't seem to shut up about his absence. Can't wait to hear the ballad that Mark came up with.

Kerrang is essentially a music tabloid so will play off any drama or big story to sell magazines.

I'm more talking about the kind of bands like Fall Out Boy since their return, All Time Low, people like that who are playing the bigger venues.

I love the two Foxing albums but I'd never really consider them in a similar style to a band like blink, possibly a slight relation to TBS.
