I worked at a rec center for five months and could get in free. Didn't go once.

Yeah, I’ve worked in the movie theater industry for about 4 years and I don’t think I’ve ever had free popcorn while on the clock. I will eat it for free when I see a movie tho

You thought it was a good idea to tangle with the site with a reviled forum, Jason (It's literally in their banner). Good show. Lambgoat has one of the worst communities on the internet, but they also have one of the best formats for presenting metal news on the internet so I keep going back. It's the kind of things that makes me hate myself.

 

They seemed nice to me on Twitter at least. (The Lambgoat twitter account that is, their users ... not so much.) I've never visited their forum. If it's really an "everything goes forum" ... it's definitely not for me. Hah.

Even admit they wish they could get away from their ads.

The guy who's run the site has always come off nice if not a bit snarky publicly (You may not like this new metal song or your might not! in his posts on Facebook). I like their site for news because they post a bunch of recent news headlines in a single line format on their main page, and I don't have to scroll. It's easy the look at and check the stories about news music and tours that I'm interested in, and I don't have to spend more than five minutes on the site. It's also very easy to avoid the comments and their forum because they're both hidden behind a link. It all really just boils down to a matter of preference though. It works well for me.

Ahh, makes sense. (If you want my news posts as a list of headlines I think you can do that with my RSS feed pretty easily, or check this forum.)
