Yeah I was gonna say the same thing.

I always read shit online about the average student loan debt being around that number and I'm just like wtf, how!? I'm over $100k in debt and I only went to a private school for 3 semesters before going to a public school for the rest of my 4.5 years.

If you're going to raise a family in this country, you pretty much have to make six figures just to be comfortable...

The three ads have in common the use of the word “bush.” Facebook Inc.’s system automatically associated the word with the former presidents of that family name, flagging them as political and blocking them, pending verification of the advertiser’s identity. They now appear in Facebook’s searchable archive of political advertising – the company’s newly launched initiative to increase transparency around who is paying to promote certain political ideas. The archive is home to dozens of ads that don’t belong there, from various schools, towns, brands and people that happen to share names with presidents.

“Clinton” is one of the most popular names for cities in the U.S., not just the surname of the political family. In Clinton, Indiana, a vacation bible school was blocked from advertising a free lunch event for kids aged 3 to 12. “Come learn how COOL Jesus’s love is!” it said, including a picture of a flier featuring animated penguins. In Clinton, Iowa, an insurance company was blocked from advertising its annual family baseball night for customers and friends, featuring a backpack drive for needy children. And in Clinton, Tennessee, Facebook’s system took down an ad for performances of Twelfth Night and the Jungle Book, featuring actors from local high schools.

I think I missed this when it happened. (Getting caught up on saved for later reading.)

Wow, and Davis isn't exactly known for being a fan of Trump, either. This should be interesting.

So some people I know are posting this story on Facebook and gleefully celebrating these people dying.

Now, don't get me wrong, poaching animals is awful and think the punishment should be severe, but I can never get on board with people being happy these people are dead.

Like, they're dead. How can people celebrate that in good conscious?

Not trying to call out people here, because I imagine it's mostly done in jest, but I know some people are actually happy they're dead.

I don't know, that viewpoint has always irked me.

  12. I am shocked he said this. Shocked.

  13. Okay now I want her to run for president in 2024

  14. I guess I get not liking to see someone "celebrating" it, but if you really believe that people that do this sorta thing are deeply evil, I guess I do understand the celebration as well. I find it hard to work up any sympathy for someone that does this kinda thing. I'm not fist pumping, but I'm not particularly torn up about it.

I mean... they wanted to murder animals only for the animals to kill them. Seems fair to me.

This is a good way of putting it. I don't have a bleeding heart for these kind of people, but the over the top celebrating it seems pretty barbaric. Especially in the current times where people seem to be more level headed about the idea of the prison system, death sentences, etc...

Being against a state mandated death penalty and not being upset when animal poachers get killed by the animals they poach is not ideologically incongruent.

It's fun...about if the animal kingdom decided they wanted to be the alpha...over humans. If they could all communicate together and how they'd mobilize and take out all the humans. A swarm of bees has never been more terrifying haha
