its very funny that Jerry Seinfeld had a bad show at a university like 25 years after his peak and assumed the only reason they didn't love his set was because he said bitch or whatever and not because no one wants to hear Jerry Seinfeld do standup in the 2010s

 

I hate the comedian strawman, because there are some excellent jokes about controversial issues, and then there are people loudly trying to be edgy, getting booed, and blaming their shitty attempt at comedy on "political correctness". Its bullshit, straight up.

And more importantly, who gives a shit. This administration has done so much to censor scientific evidence, censor journalists reporting on their blatant corruption, and attack anyone who disagrees without any argument based in logic and facts. I care much more about that than no one clapping for a hack comic's sexist bit.

My main problem is that it seems like the punch line to everything he does recently is "Oh, are you offended? Does that offend you? Am i being O f F E n S i V e?" as if that is somehow a joke unto itself.

Its just trolling. I can get that from teenagers on the internet for free. I expect proffesional comedians to try harder.

exactly I have heard a lot of hilarious jokes about topics that are dark or not funny
I have also seen a lot of dudes just be like "all kids are pussies now and trans people gross me out" and it's like that's not a joke it doesn't have a punchline, plus it's offensive

 

He's lucky we're in the confronting people in public spaces times and not the guillotine times.
