Can someone give me a brief description on the election in Mexico? CNN and other people were saying that the winner is basically Mexico’s version of Trump, but then I saw another article saying it’s their own Bernie Sanders and that he’s a leftist. Are they simply comparing him to trump because he’s anti-establishment and wants to bring change? As far as I know their policies are nothing alike

 

He's left wing. They're calling him Trump because that's bad and corporations don't like left wing politics

He's a nationalist in the sense that every politician is a nationalist, sure. He's a moderate socdem who wants to make peace with the cartels, basically

 

I mean on paper, yea. We'll see what he can actually accomplish with all the corruption there, you can only hope he's legit. I just love how they make "he only cares about Mexico" as the storyline rather than you know, 95% of what the rest of his progressive platform is about.
