I got roped into doing the Akron Marathon relay again this year. It’s between 4.0 and 6.2 miles depending on the leg I do. It’s the last Saturday in September so I have about 3 months to get into somewhat decent running shape ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

That should be doable. Don’t you play basketball regularly? That should help somewhat.

I went 5 miles this morning, but it was already around 80 degrees before 6am.

 

Yeah, I do. I just need to get into a regular routine of running at least a few times a week (instead of just playing basketball once a week!)

Wow, that’s ridiculous! It’s supposed to get to 95 here today and I need to get the lawn mowed...

 

Yeah it’s going to be the same here today and tomorrow. I’ll probably try to mow the lawn early tomorrow morning so I don’t pass out.
