  1. That's one I haven't seen, but my brother watched it for the first time recently and loved it. I'm currently reading On Writing and am definitely on a King kick, adaptations or otherwise.

The only thing I remember about BoS is it has the guy from Burn Notice and they used an At The Drive-in song during the end credits.

What are some of your favorites? Not necessarily ranked but your go to King books? I'm a big fan and I always love seeing what other people like by him since his body of work is so big.

YES! I remember being so confused and laughing at the song choice because it made me hear Arcarsenal in a totally different light. Also, everything that guy has appeared in (including Burn Notice) i've always processed in my head as "that's the Book of Shadows guy" because it was the first thing i've ever seen him act in and it's never been shaken from my memory.

Oh man, if you love Resolution, you're in for it with The Endless. It builds on what that movie did in such a cool way.

It's interesting, I would call all those movies you listed horror films, but still didn't feel like Thoroughbreds hit that mark (or wanted to). I think Heathers would be the first thing I would compare it to, but you're not wrong to think of those other films, too

It comes out on blu-ray/VOD tomorrow!

My friends and I have randomly thrown this out to each other in person, via text and even random phone calls at work (like, this line is all we say or text) and it just kills us. It has for a decade plus and it will for a decade more. The delivery, the fact that his character is the last to realize this obvious fact is just so so great.

Edit: technically it’s “she’s the witch, mannnn!”

I love Book of Shadows for not just being a bland rip off of the original. I love how meta it is and how it plays off the hype of the original being a real film and working with that in a “movie in a movie” kind of way. I’ll always appreciate it - and the director commentary as he blasts the studio for changing the final version so much on him last minute. Great listen.

When Book of Shadows came out I was at just the right age to be like "yeah bro party in the woods blair witch" so it has a certain nostalgic factor for me

Considering all the found footage movies we've been inundated in the last ten years since Paranormal Activity, I'm surprised there wasn't an immediate rush of copycat ones after Blair Witch first came out in 1999. I was too young to see it in theaters but remember the online marketing for it for such an early age of the internet. There was a special on Sci-Fi that aired before the movie was released and the whole tone was that it was a true-life incident since Googling to see if it was real wasn't handy at the time.

I saw The Blair Witch Project when I was 8 years old at a Drive-In theater with my mom and older sister. I was so freaked out when we were preparing to leave I remember not looking out the windows all the way home.

More sci-fi than horror, but what does everyone think of the new trailer for The Predator?
