Can't understand the lukewarm response to Butterflies - One of the prettiest songs on here

 

butterflies is brilliant, easily the best on here for me

 

The chorus is absolutely perfect.

"Untangled all the strings round my wings that were tied" part is one of the catchiest things ever

 

Butterflies is easily one of my favorite songs of the year. It's probably one of the sappiest songs I've ever fallen in love with, but it's got some great meaning behind it.

 

Can vividly remember just completely buggin out to Butterflies when it was released. It's perfect. It's in competition with a few from the album for my favorite, which is just a testament to the strength of this work. What a tune.

She sounds great there. She always wears the craziest outfits.

Oh my gaaaawd I can't handle harry singing this song it just melts me. Seeing them in like two weeks and I'm so hyyyyped. They should record a studio version I'd die.

 

I'm not really that into Harry but he does sound pretty amazing on this

 

Harry has that good boyband voice that's rly good at love songs. His cover of girl crush is rly nice too.

I srsly would just die. I love kacey and there is something so soothing and angelic about Harry's tone and I just wouldn't be able to handle it lol. Plus that song is just so like swoony on its own

 

The song “Golden Hour” is so slept on in here, goddamn

 

It’s one of my favorites on the album. Don’t understand how it’s most folks least favorite

 

This is very exciting

 

"Who needs confetti, we're already falling into a groove" is such a stellar lyric.

 

Jumping into the thread cold, so sorry if this has already been mentioned. But does anyone else think the mixing on this album is incredible? The main guy, Shawn Everett, also engineered and mixed the last Perfume Genius record. I think he is phenomenally good... The whole album sounds so layered and organic. Not computer-y at all.
