It’s funny too because I genuinely think Hawkins was a better fit for NWFT than Pennie would’ve been. Just a really good, mostly straightforward, rock album.

oh for sure. I honestly think Hawkins played a bigger role than some let on, it had to play into the more straightfoward approach with that one.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

imo you'd want The Running Free, Mother Superior, Here We are Juggernaut, Far, Domino or Vic The Butcher, Gravity's Union and Atlas at the very, very least

    The Broken is wildly underrated

Pennie's drumming on Here We Are Juggernaut is fantastic and about as straight-forward as he could be on the pop single of the album.

Check this out: chorus 1 and chorus 2 have different grooves (hi-hat in 1, crash/ride in 2) , but chorus 3 Pennie plays BOTH CHORUS ! AND CHORUS 2 GROOVES SIMULTANEOUSLY. It's fucking rad.

I never picked up on that. Year of the Black Rainbow has some gems.

Completely agree. The only songs (besides Made Out of Nothing) I'll revisit on that.

Has anyone listened to The Amory Score podcast? Seems like they go song-by-song discussing the lyrics as they fit into the Amory Wars story.

When did Coheed actually become such a well-known band? I still tend to feel like they are a hidden treasure in the rock world sometimes, but I posted on my FB about the upcoming Saskatoon show and people are coming out of the woodwork left and right - people I used to work with love Coheed, married couples in their 40s love Coheed, single moms love Coheed, people I haven't talked to in 5 years love Coheed.

When did everyone start loving Coheed? I really enjoy it.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

"A Favor House Atlantic" was really catchy and I think help put them on the map. "Welcome Home" really solidified their presence in the rock world. I think it was on a Guitar Hero game too, so that helped their exposure. It was the song that got me into them, that's for sure.

I think Good Apollo 1 really gave them a big push. They had the pop hits A Favor House and Blood Red Summer before too.

The title track, not the album, just in case people got too excited.

    It’s a fine song.

Yeah, should've clarified. Although I'm kind of assuming everyone will refer to this album as Vaxis 1 like we do GA1 and GA2?
