So a lot of talking in my area has been quite different than what’s on the news. Kind of a hostile attitude towards the democrats coming from out of state and liberal media who are here to report on what’s going on at the border, people feel that they’re just milking it and don’t really care about the issue at hand. Which in one way I completely agree, it’s a lot more complicated than ppl make it out to be, told it is, or believe it to be and people who live on the border have a different interaction/experience with immigration then someone who lives up north and may know a handful immigrants who made their way Into America and fully integrated. On the other hand, I’m like “yeah, but that’s called the fucking news. Exploiting stories to fit a narrative/agenda is kind of their gig. Don’t take It personally. You’re just not used to it happening in this town on this scale.”
