I gave the first few episodes a shot back when they were released and again when they were added to Netflix. Pure garbage imo. The characters are essentially faceless and as a result you don't really give a hoot about anything that happens. I guess that's to be expected from an MTV series though. Would've been great to see a network like AMC or Fx at the helm.

I liked it for what it was. Production value is pretty high, a few bad actors and lots of expected melodrama, the kids are surprisingly good, and it's peppered with references to horror movies.

It's fine if you're bored. I watched it with my sis which made it funner. It's actually better than I thought but I also had super low expectations. I watched it weekly while it aired tho so idk how it is to marathon. I liked a few of the characters and I'm a sucker for a Novela "who done it?" Plot

I was about ten when that movie came out and I just remember it was one of those movies that seemed so tempting because it was for adults only (I don't even remember if I was familiar with the franchise at that point). Over the course of the following years I'd watch the series but didn't see Jason Goes To Hell until around college and I was disappointed just because it felt so inconsistent with the rest of the series.

    Doing fine. Prestigious

Haha. I distinctly remember always stopping and looking at the VHS box when I was younger while walking around blockbuster. The weird snake thing curling through the hockey mask with that fiery background. Same as Jake, I didn't see it until way later and it was such a disappointment compared to how awesome my childhood self thought the movie would be.

Yeah it was pretty bad! The lack of Jason was a sore point, as was the focus on characters I didn't care about and a backstory that wasn't really clear. It did have one pretty brutal kill though, and Jason's ambush/explosion at the beginning was cool.

Seriously love Evil Dead 2. The comedy elements are so well done without being over the top. I could watch that movie once a month, and be content.

    Is the remake any good?

I absolutely loved it. I consider it to be one of the better if not best horror remake Hollywood has churned out in quite some time. The score was great as well.

  13. It's awesome. Very brutal and legitimately scary.

  14. New Nightmare was way weaker than I was expecting, especially based on what I'd heard. Some cool components, some nice twists and turns, but the final battle was laughable. I'm starting to thing the NIghtmare on Elm Street movies aren't really my thing.

A friend lent me His Name Is Jason though, so I'm excited to watch that. It's loaded with bonus footage.

The Faculty was a lot of fun and felt pretty similar to Slither

I love it. I saw it in the fifth grade and remember thinking Josh Hartnett's character was such a badass.

  21. Love both of those movies haha I should rewatch Slither.

Love horror-comedies when they're done right.

And the soundtrack is great (even Creed's track is tolerable)
