Was that the Leave No Trace trailer? I noticed that too before Beast and got really excited.

Saw Oceans 8 today. Pretty good.

I love Movie Pass still. Got off work at noon, had a meeting at 4:30. Perfect chance to grab some lunch and see a movie.

I can't wait for Incredibles this weekend!

That was it. This was my first time seeing that trailer so it took me by surprise.

American Animals was really good. Loved the themes it touched on and it’s probably my favorite of the year so far. Really hope it keeps expanding so more can see it

(But go see Tag anyway, it's awesome.)

Loved American Animals. It's maybe 5 or 10 minutes too long, but overall it's one of my favorites this year.

I'll be free basically all day tomorrow so I should probably catch a movie...or two...or three

Hoping to get to Tag, Solo, and Incredibles this week. Possibly American Animals if I have the time

I really want to see American Animals or Hearts Beat Loud but neither are playing near me! I might drag myself out to see Hotel Artemis or Oceans 8 today.

Tag was good fun. Definitely worth the Movie Pass and the afternoon out. Not as funny as Game Night or Blockers, but still had its moments. Loved Hannibal Burress in this.

managed to go to the movies for a 5 pm showing of Tag.

My family decided to join me so now I'm scared they will hate me if the movie sucks because they paid full price.

I went to a Cinemark theater and holy heck are those tight. I was in aw over everything since I'm so used to my little old school theater

for some strange reason it did feel like the trailers before the movie were really long.

Tag was ok. Ed Helms really isnt a leading actor to me. And I dont think Jeremy Renner is that great. Movie was fun, but not worth more than a moviepass watch. I enjoyed Game Night much more. This was on par with Blockers. I really wish there were moe summer comedies this year. The comedy really is dead I guess. Damn superheroes. We need more Seth Rogan comedies.

  17. Burbank has three AMCs in a three block radius and we didn't get Beast, On Chesil Beach, or Disobedience. I was hoping to see First Reformed the other day, but they stopped playing it; I guess we needed more showtimes of The Incredibles 2. I'm beginning to see more clearly how bigger films blocking out smaller films is definitely a problem. Having said that, I'm only marginally interested in American Animals, Hereditary, Hotel Artemis, and Upgrade. There are a handful of other films coming out in the next few months that I wouldn't mind seeing but also wouldn't mind missing. Except for Sorry to Bother You, Eighth Grade, and Crazy Rich Asians, there aren't a lot of non-sequel/prequel/reboot films I'm super interested in this summer. I mean, yeah, Deadpool 2 and Solo were kind of disappointing (fridgefest), but Ocean's 8 was great (I haven't even seen 12-13), and I'm really excited for The Incredibles 2, Ant Man and the Wasp, and Mission Impossible: Fallout (I haven't even seen 2-5). I guess right now is the time to enjoy all the blockbusters, and more of the awards-season type films come out later in the year.

I am about to try and bust out three movies in three days.

Hotel Artemis, Superfly and Incredibles 2.

the only sad part is hotel artemis is now down to one showing a day and it is at 9:30 pm.

Interesting. I like it for the fact that moviepass is starting a theater revolution and they are all going to have to adapt. $20 is still a great deal. AMC by me charges like $15 for a single ticket. Problem is I hate the dine in theater. Seats are so uncomfortable.

I like our theater and I want a plan that lets me buy tickets in advance so I'm probably cutting MP for the AMC deal.

The premium tickets and pre-purchase are a pretty big deal. I don't think its enough for me to make the switch right now, but if MP were to go under, I think this is the first one I would go to. Plus you get the Stubs benefits which is awesome as well.

When I got MP I got the year subscription for $100 so I'll be sticking with that at least till it ends. AMC deal would suck for me because we only have one AMC theater in my city and it's small and not that great.
