  1. Bummer for Travis, the band, the Palms, and the fans who bought tickets to those shows...

I wonder if Mark and Matt will play acoustic shows next weekend or just reschedule again. Really sucks if people made plans from out of state and got plane tickets, hotel rooms etc.

At least they’d be in Vegas and could still make a weekend out of it, worst case. Still a bummer...hope he’s okay!

If I recall correctly, there was a brief time during the infancy of the band when Mark quit to focus on his girlfriend at the time, but he returned quickly. Not sure if there were shows while he was away.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Ah yeah, that’s right. I’m not sure if there were shows then either. I think that if there were, we would probably know about it.

Stupid question, but what are those things under the guitar and bass?

This is basically just "Early 2000s blink-182 fan starter pack" more than anything...only thing it's missing are the tube socks. haha.

According to this site that has a pretty good timeline of the band:

    The Official, Comprehensive Blink-182 Timeline

There's some debate on when blink's first show actually was but it was sometime around April 1993. The first time they played Soma was April 7th and the flier says it was their first ever concert but there is some question as to whether it was at a high school or another venue instead. There's another documented show they played on April 16th and then no other known shows until May 28th at Soma. Flyswatter was recorded sometime in May of 1993 and we know Mark was part of the Flyswatter recording process so it's probably unlikely the band played during the time Mark left and then rejoined.

That was my assumption, but I've obviously never had them so I didn't want to sound dumb.

I still wear some of this stuff haha. Every now and again, I’ll wear a Hurley or Atticus shirt.
I’m gonna get one of those Strats someday though

Some Atticus clothing was/is cool I'm not ashamed. I still like the dead bird logo.

Xxxtentacion was killed today. Only found this out bc of Travis’ Twitter. I remember people talking about the collab in here.

Xxx was garbage and anyone who worked with him ignored morality for music and money. Travis sucks.

Travis has never really hung around the best of people. His ex wife accused him of some weird shit too.

He was a piece of shit, but still I got emotional when I saw he was only 20. Sad to die so young, and also sad to realize that a kid was responsible for all those heinous crimes.

  20. As a drummer, Travis is super talented. He's also a fucking asshole, as so many talented people are. think I'm done with this band tbh

Right, you want to see people do better and have a redemption of sorts, but dying so young doesn’t exactly give them a chance. Definitely mixed feelings.

  22. *sigh*

If only people got as emotional and cared about the victims of the abuse.

Was this directed at me? What did I say that implied I don't care about victims?
Look I'm not holding a candlelight vigil for the creep. I still haven't even heard a single song by him and still don't plan on it. I'm just saying he was young, he had a whole lifetime to pay for his crimes and let his victims take him to court, maybe see the error of his ways, and maybe even devote the rest of his life trying to make amends with his victims and prevent others from engaging in domestic violence. This may be a whole other discussion, but I don't support the death penalty. I don't condone murder, my heart goes to all victims and their families, but I just don't think death is the proper answer.

Sorry I'm rambling a bit. This is the most I've ever thought I'd speak about this asshole. Don't really want his name coming out of my mouth again. I just hope at the very least that his death brings his victims some peace and not more anguish.

    Oh, John...

Those stories actually told me a lot more about the guy than I realized. Didn't know about the pregnant part, didn't know about the homophobic assault either.
