Getting a lot of Acceptance Speech vibes from Tilian. Need to give it many more listens.

from what i read, midnight crusade was mixed by someone else, as was son of robot. the rest of the album was mixed by the same person. so that's why the first two songs have a bit of a different sound than the rest of the album.

production issues aside (pretty glaring issues) this is a really good album with a lot of really good songs

The production isn't near flawless for the genre like IG and Mothership, but I don't think it's that bad. Much better than Acceptance Speech was at least.

LOVed the last record, but this one feels too soon for me. I know DGD releases a record every two years, but I could’ve waited.

I’m enjoying this a lot. There’s a part in Flash where Tillian sounds just like Deryck Whibley (of all people) which takes me out of the tune, lol. First 5 tracks and The Rattler are a lot of fun, would love to hear any of those live

at least it sounds like it belongs in the mix. all of the instruments on this album sound like they belong in different mixes, its extremely weird and offputting and i cant fathom why they had different people produce different instruments, its the most baffling production choice ive ever heard of

The production issues are way overblown. This sounds fine.

how did Will forget to be able to come up with good clean guitar tones after Happiness? the clean guitar tones on the albums since have sometimes been very wack.

I like this just as much as the other 3 Tilian releases. Not gonna rank it just yet because, as with every DGD release, I seem to sour on a few songs off each album less and less as time goes on. Like with Mothership, I really liked Chocolate Jackalope, Deception and Here Comes The Winner for the first few months, now I just skip those almost every time I listen to it.
