YHF was a grower for me so don't give up on that one if you don't love it right away. I think it's diverse but maybe too overwhelming to take in just once

better daughter/son is my favorite song by them and I think that song crushing me for the first time is documented in the RK thread

but More Adventurous is just as good tho

I was also into some metalcore and post-hardcore stuff. The worst of it was Chiodos. The best of it was ETID.

 

I literally own Frances the Mute and have never gotten to it legitimately haha. I keep meaning to but it just falls by the wayside. but even one awesome album is enough to be in my good books for a long time. it's the Weezer effect

In/Casino/Out is def worth checking out but yeah ATDI don't do the sad part of posthardcore
