Mayday album is disappointing. SC record is a big step up for them

 

between new Gin Blossoms and new Mad Caddies I am feeling so many different types of nostalgia this morning

 

Interested in Petal and Mike Shinoda. But Her Name is Calla's new EP is the one stealing all of my attention at the moment.

Incredible return to form for the atmospheric post-rockers.

 

@Jason Tate you should add:

DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY - ALCHEMY

It was also released 6/15 via Victory Records and it has a crap ton of bangers on it. I’m not really into some of the eyeliner type emo look of the members but the music has me amped at the gym.

Petal is it for me.

 

Christina Aguilera's is gonna be an underappreciated gem. Won't have a huge single so won't be a big splash but it's versatile and good.

all i hear is kygo's firestone during the opening track on the new state champs.

 

In reference to SC - coming from a mediocre fan, it's a lot better than their last album. I think it's "safe" in that it's sure to please fans of pop-punk but also very accessible to those who aren't fans. But it's also a step forward & showcases their talent. It might not be your AOTY, but it's a fun album & I don't think many people will feel like their time was wasted listening to it. If you ever get the opportunity check them out live, they're a great time!

Ok tbh I’m not into ska aside from streetlight and skankin pickle but DAMN does this mighty bosstones album make me feel good

 

I’ll second the notion that it’s a big day for a bunch of bands I’m meh on.

 

New Betty Who EP is phenomenal. Taste and Just Thought You Should Know are incredible.

Christina's new album is a mixed bag. Fall In Line is undoubtedly the best song on there, but really warming up to Maria and Masochist.

Ariana Grande with two awesome features this week too. Dance to This and Bed are both really great.
