We need a cultural shift in this country. Other than first gen immigrants I can't see why anyone would be so scared of their employer. I feel like part of the blame has been the recent (like post 2000s to today), conglomeration of corporations...aka when your boss fucking unionizes. I don't even know what happens to the workers...like when aol and time Warner merged, did the unions also merge? Did they renegotiate their cba?

Oh and folks always seem to forget that one of the strongest unions to this day remains law enforcement and officers. I got friends in the NYPD who are planning on retiring very comfortably in their late forties. The media however would have you believe that every day is 9/11 for them and god bless America or something.

  8. Was that a takeaway? Isn't it exactly how Trump won? Heh. I kid.

Anyway, that is the strategy most Dem candidates are going with, as the article itself points out:
One Democratic campaign group recently ran digital ads going after Pruitt. But officials pulled the spots after they performed poorly. A search of ads that were run recently on Facebook revealed that only a handful of Democratic lawmakers—and none in tight races—were going after the EPA chief. Those who were targeting Pruitt included Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Matt Morgan, a House candidate in northern Michigan—both of whom spotlighted state-related issues and not ethical foibles.

Some of the top reader comments on that article seem pretty on point.

"Shouting down someone with whom you disagree is a tacit admission that you cannot rationally counter their position."

"When you mischaracterize the debate as one over free speech of the left v. the right, you do a great disservice to your readers. The campus "protests" that have caused the concern were anything but. They were concerted attempts, often successful, to bully, harass, and sometimes violently attack invited speakers. Those are not exercises of speech. They are assaults, plain and simple. You also did not mention the very large group of liberals like myself in public and academia who are in support of these protections of speech against the illiberal left. It is not a left v. right topic. It is a freedom v. totalitarian/fascist issue."

Matthew 12:11 - He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?”
