That would be awesome the three songs are definitely connected.

Hurricane. Stay with me. Salt and shadow all use the same chord progression

This is the Thrice album I've always they would make. Really impressed so far. Hurricane is such a great opening track.

But like, what they were referring to is looping Salt and the Shadow in such away that that "Hurricane" riff piano outtro becomes the intro to Hurricane instead.

So I've tried to get into Thrice a lot over the years and they never clicked. They really have with this album though and I'm hoping that will open the door to really get into their other stuff.

I say that to ask, based on my really liking this album a lot, where should I start in their back catalogue?

Yes start with Beggars and give this album a shot. Hopefully you can find the groove ha.

I'd just work backwards at that point. Go with Beggars and Major/Minor next. Then go with The Alchemy Index and Vheissu, and then the rest.

Just can't get over how great Hurricane is. A Thrice song hasn't hit me like that in a long time. Salt and Shadow is stunning as well.

Do or do not, there is no try.

I've only gone through the album once, but I really like it. Thrice do not disappoint once again!

How is the packaging of the vinyl? I think I will pick the one up. Loving this record.

This album is like listening to a mix of all their greatest songs from their individual albums put into one. I love it.

I noticed they sort of have a "stop" at Vheissu in terms of how far back the sound goes. not a bad thing, and it would be kind of weird to hear hints of Identity, Illusion, or Artist on this album. overall, a great comeback and a really great album, in my opinion. Wake Up falls a little flat, but I've grown to enjoy it after a few more listens. I love The Long Defeat, love the ending and how it flows into Seneca, and that one is great too. sort of a throwback to The Next Day, just a straight up guitar interlude.

back half of the album is great, just great rock songs back to back and closing with Salt and Shadow, bordering on Air vibes! I found the transition between Black Honey and Stay with Me, or the fact that it's sandwiched between Death from Above, a little strange because it's not as "heavy"...just weird to have this ballad type in between two of the more rock songs on the album. overall, as a long time Thrice fan, I love this album, especially since it's the album that got my girlfriend to start listening to Thrice.

There are hints of their earlier stuff in Blood on the Sand, imo.

Really liking this after listening all week. My only complaint is that Salt and Shadow could have been a much more impactful track. It's good don't get me wrong, but I feel like it just doesn't fully deliver.

This is how I felt about Disarmed on M/m. I love Salt and Shadow though.
