Trying to play catch-up this week on releases I missed of artists I typically like for my Chorus mid-year top 20 list. Kacey is very, very good, but also very much one note in sound.

I think there are a few songs on the album where that's true, but the high points of the album have plenty of variation. I don't think Slow Burn, Space Cowboy, and Rainbow sound alike at all

 

Good thing you could play someone easy before playing me.

 

I didn’t realize Slow Burn had ended for almost four songs. I’ve not listened to much in the minor keys lately and this album seems to be a lot of that. It’s not bad by any means, but not what I’ve been wanting lately.
