As someone who first got into Thrice because of hearing this on SSX3, this is really jarring to hear back now.

Starting to really like The Grey.
Hope it’s the most “radio rock” song on the album. But still. Some awesome stuff going on.

Does anyone have any hints at the album title / release date at all?

One of my favorite things about THRICE is how bad they are at interviews. Riley is the best at them given his podcasting history, but I love how awkward they usually are. They KNOW they're bad at them, too, and have no problem pointing it out whenever possible.

September is the first month of fall. Why say "ish" if it's a September release?

    Because September is also summer?

Late Summer-Fall would be the answer then. Guys, I'm hoping it's September but given how coy they're being, plus this added "ish," there's clearly something that's delaying this release. Physical media is often the culprit.

There have been other statements about them hoping it's out before the end of the year that also scare me.

Is it because of marketing or not being sure when vinyl will be out that they say in interviews "we can't really talk about the release" ? I'm always curious why bands aren't allowed to say more but that's probably just me being uneducated on how album rollouts work.

It sounds like we'll get more songs in advance at least. We got two for TBEITBN via Vagrant, but given Dustin's sly look, I want to believe we'll get a bigger taste than just two. I hope they avoid that '10 days of 10 second clips until release' strategy via Epitaph.

For you Epitaph experts, do they usually preview albums in advance via stream?

How many songs do they tend to release before a record's actual release?

Hearing Dustin mention their London show debuting the grey I looked up the setlist and I have to say I like the looks of it. Especially nice to see Hold Fast Hope on there. I'm sure it will change for the fall tour if the new album is out

They want to have as much product on hand as possible so that pre-orders/the first week of release garners the most possible revenue.

Plus, they want enough time to do a proper pre-order marketing campaign of said product once they know, for certain, when that product will be available for release/shipment.

  22. It's fascinating they brought "In Exile" back. It wasn't very long ago when Dustin said in an interview that they were going to retire that song for the time-being because he thought it could be easily misunderstood in the current political climate.

That makes me think, maybe that's because they were playing outside America? Hmmm

This thing needs to be out for their tour, I don't see it coming out after that or in the middle of it, I'm gonna stick with mid September.

That dude who wanted to pay $10K to hear TBEITBN early must be having an aneurysm right now.
