I didn't like Domino much, this is way radder

Island was far and away the best track on TCBTS

I don't mean any offense by this, but what is it that people like about The Island? Never quite understood the love for it so I'd love to know what people hear in it that I don't. To me, it's one of the weaker songs on the album (which is a really weak album IMO), there's absolutely no edge to it, and it follows the same generic pop-song formula most songs on that album do: verse, chorus, half verse (those half verses are maddening), chorus, bridge, chorus, outro.

I just think it's a very well written song. I don't care about it's lack of edge or traditional structure, I just enjoy the melodies. It's got the best chorus on the album and I love a good chorus. I think they were obviously going for a poppier sound on that album and that song nails it the most for me.

That's fair, and to each their own. I do enjoy some of the lyrics, but I find them hit and miss. Definitely welcoming the more proggy stuff it seems like we'll be getting with this album, but I've always had a soft spot for those truly catchy pop tunes.

I thought atlas should have been the first single. Island probably the 2nd best on that album

It *technically* was the first single, since he released a video of himself playing it well before the album was released.
    Kinda like Sentry for Afterman.

TCBTS has seven (7) great tracks, 2 good tracks (Colors, The Audience), and 1 average track (Young Love)

I honestly don't think I've listened to their last album all the way through and it's been on my iPod for 2 years. Maybe I'll do that tonight

Good guy, but a bad dude

I remember listening to it alot in it's initial few weeks but it had zero staying power. The afterman albums are just as awesome as they were in 2013 or whatever year that was, however

I’ll fight for Young Love being one of my favorites off that album. Even if the lyrics are strange with him singing to his house.

I listened to TCBTS a few times and liked it but it didn’t really draw me back in for repeat listens. I think I’m due for a run of the whole discography

Ghost, Atlas, and Island alone are worth it.

Honestly the only song on TCBTS I don’t really like is The Audience.

I’ll tell you one thing: atlas needs to be played at EVERY show

Low key, ghost might be one of their best songs in the post YOTBR era. So much emotion in such a small package.

How neat is it that a little proggy-emo band with a helium vocalist that most of us started listening to 15 years ago is now such a renowned rock band that they play with a full orchestra at 60th anniversary of NASA

Bigger question is how big can this band get? Sell out 20,000 arenas?

Worst riff they've ever written. Worst opening to a song they've ever written. Hate that song.

Would You Still Be In Love?

Could never get into TCBTS besides Here To Mars and Atlas. There's some solid stuff, but it has never stuck with me
