the production sounded good, but it's just hard for me to get excited for a new as i lay dying song in 2018 not even taking into context what happened with tim. that included, i'll give their music a passing youtube stream and that's about it.

 

so I think Volcano is my favorite Satyricon album - such a unique sound and the drumming is amazing

Nemesis Divina is the most iconic and a BM classic

Rebel Extravaganza their best and a modern bm classic

but Volcano is my fav

Hellhammer/Celtic Frost are amazing

as I said before, Monotheist is one of the best comeback albums ever any genre

As much as I always agree with the sentiments behind what they're trying to do, they always go about this shit in the worst manner. Ugh.

 

Plus, it’s wild that they want to never post about ALID again for what Tim did but will still write about people like Varg. Like if you’re going to make AILD the exception but not do the same for equally terrible people, then your point is moot.

The FB comments on it are pretty much across the board negative about it, some making valid points while many others are defending AILD so it’s kinda what I expected from FB.

 

He had a few decent articles but yeah, dude was a ridiculous troll.

My question still remains: Why? Like I would say it’s clear why but still, I want to know why they backpedaled on what they said about Tim and the band to rejoin him.

 

Wovenwar doesn’t pay the bills and they decided touring and associating with an abusive piece of shit is preferable to paying the bills with non music endeavors

 

The only thing that would make this valid is if his estranged wife and children forgave him for what he did. I could care less if the band forgave him, they were never really in danger by his actions and they were just unfortunate collateral in that. His family’s forgiveness ultimately should matter more in the end, period.

 

I was just listening to the Oh, Sleeper episode of the Labeled podcast with Shane Blay today and yeah, Wovenwar wasn't really sustainable financially speaking. Shane is actually a home inspector when he's not touring lol (which they haven't been doing because it's not worth it money-wise)

 

I mean, they tried but in the end, people just weren’t gonna let AILD go enough to give them a chance and it also didn’t help that the band’s music really wasn’t that hot to begin with.

 

lol there is no way that metalsucks will keep its word on that one. god that site is unbearable.

 

I'm pretty sure Metalsucks isn't satire. It's an op-ed blog. Which makes it all the more hilarious. That said, they're better than the alt-right fucks at Death Metal Underground or the quasi-NSBM/skinhead apologists at NWN Underground.
