Crackdown 3 must be insanely cool because Microsoft has pretty much cancelled every other exclusive that's taken too long to come out this gen

 

It's just been too hyped and in development too long to cancel. The amount of money spent on it must be crazy compared to the previous entries.

 

Or it’s the only non-Halo/Gears/Forza big exclusive they got in development

 

I honestly forgot it hadn't come out yet.

 

Almost done with the main quest of Wild Hunt. Decided to look at the abilities in the attack and alchemy trees, like, really look at them for once. There was a lot of "Oh that's what that does!" and "Oh. That's what that does." I just drank three concoctions and have almost 10,000 HP, which is immediately and completely healed whenever I'm brought down to 0 while having at least one adrenaline point. Could've easily been higher if I didn't split my skill points across all three trees. Who needs Quen anymore? And I thought the signs tree was broken.

I was really invested in side quests and exploration when I first started playing, then focused on pushing through the main quests once I returned to the game. Think I'll play around a bit more with abilities, alchemy, armor and whatnot when I return to the game next time to do DLC. I for some reason never feel like doing DLC for a game right after beating it. I like being able to return to a game without necessarily starting over.

I'm just one stone away. I just got a new armor set as well. Thinking I might be powerful enough to tackle some Valkyrie's.

 

The great thing about the gauntlet is that it gives you another disrupt. Stuns are a huge part of being able to take down all of them.

 

I've gotten my ass kicked by those Valkyries too many times to count.

 

I've read between $20-30 million has been spent to this point.

The word is that the game was ready to ship November of 2017, but it would have been lackluster. So Phil Spencer delayed it until Spring 2018 for the polish. He is pushing for it to be on the tier with Halo, Gears and Forza and wants it to be ready.

My guess is the game needed a little extra time and couldn't be out by September, which is Forza's release window, and anything after that is suicide. So they might as well push it to early 2019 and take the extra dev time.

 

The funny thing about the Valkyries is that they all seem easy once you've died 50 times against the Queen

 

Half the health, a quarter of the moves. YUP

 

My favorite thing was when they had a playable demo at E3 like last year or early and people were just like "oh, that's it. That's all it is," which was absolutely hilarious to me. Nothing stood out, not the gameplay, not the graphics. It just kind of existed.

 

I've heard mixed things. Some people who played it are hyped, some were unimpressed.

I've never been a fan of the series so I'll try it out but not expecting much for me.

 

I think the people who were hyped were just happy to see the franchise was still alive which makes no sense to me because the franchise has never been anything special.

 

I liked Crackdown 2 when it came out. I rented it. Not bad for a game that had under a year of dev time.

i fuckin wish i liked any of the big current multiplayer games. or that any of them would be, like, not shooters. Fortnite/Overwatch etc, i just literally couldn't care less, it's a bummer
