Gotta be single art. It’s kinda boring for album cover art. M/M was pretty boring looking though.

"Blood in the Sand" is great and an album highlight. "Yellow Belly" is great and an album highlight. And Beggars literally doesn't even have a worst song because it's perfect.

  6. I'm thinking the album art might be this + some words or graphics

What has me thinking this can't be just the single art is that it's also used for the tour poster

    yeah good okay Prestigious

When I heard the first bass notes of "All The World is Mad" I thought it was a joke. Not at all what I expected after TAI

All those pictures of Teppei running the board, engineering, etc. as well as his IG posts about the process. I bet Palmquist was loosely involved. But, I'll take it.

It would make sense to use him to mix. He’s a world class mixer. I feel like we would have seen a picture of him recording with them if it was on the engineering side.

Guys, "The Grey" is Dustin's ode to Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi. The lyrics fit so well. Rey is designed to be grey, too. That's how balance is achieved, ultimately.

I know, but still. That record sounded SO good aside from the disappearance of Ed and Teppei (which they've already made up for in spades).

Holy, if you think all religious / spiritual people carry this belief then it’s no wonder you sound so bitter towards them.

I don’t think all religious / spiritual people are like that. I am only referencing a book bro.

Riley on Twitter telling Pianos Become the Teeth member they should tour... now that would be a great tour!

    hmmm

I'm not aware of his Twitter interactions but the lyrics in this song certainly read like someone who had put his trust in his ability to have all his beliefs boxed off and rationally processed. There is a tendency among some Calvinists, which I believe Kensrue was, to feel like they need to have all their theology grasped and under control. Not infrequently, this means they end up putting their faith in their own knowledge and doctrinal stability, so they go through life interpreting everything through the lens of their self-built systematic belief system, ignoring that "For now we see in a mirror dimly".

"There was a time when I tried to bind and bottle up the sea" demonstrates this conflict perfectly.

Thrice songs always work best in th context of an album instead of as a single. There are a bunch of bands that are album bands.

It’s like reading a good book, instead of looking for just a good magazine or newspaper article.

If they toured with Pianos, I could at least catch a nap at the bar before Thrice plays.

are we getting to the point where very understandable takes aren't allowed? makes sense that someone who prefers heavier music wouldn't care for pianos last two, regardless of quality
