I just don't know why people want to see a man who is 52 and hasn't wrestled in basically a decade come back to the ring. Can't we just be happy with one of the greatest careers ever ending in a happy place instead of the typical story of a guy grinding in the ring until basically dies between the ropes?

 

RAW would be infinitely better if it started out with Elias or Graves roasting the crowd like the start of SSS. Whole crowd just ripping some schmuck fan and chanting "my pillow is a Whopper"

well my take is i’m not actively pining for it, but if it’s gonna happen, can we not enjoy it? i agree him staying retired is the best scenario, but if he were to come back and work with a younger guy, it elevates them. and it probably entertains us. and then it’s over and no harm no foul. it doesn’t have to be a bell-to-bell classic to serve a purpose. it would be huge for an NXT guy to get that kind of rub, and you know he wouldn’t do it without the right story or stage - this is the guy that turned down a WWE Title match against AJ Styles in front of a 60,000 hometown audience and later a Saudi Arabia payday.

He's not going to wrestle like velveteen dream or something. WWE won't put him in there to elevate an NXT dude. People are free to enjoy what they want to enjoy, for sure. But I just have no interest in seeing him wrestle 10 years after he quit.

 

it's pretty well documented that HBK's relationship with Vince is second-to-none, and obviously he is as close with HHH as it gets. i am positive Shawn can get whatever he wants when the alternative is them getting nothing from him at all.

 

isnt HBK also helping produce all the NXT shows? Him putting over Velveteen or Black or some other NXT star is actually believable

 

yeah, he and Hayes were responsible for, i believe, the NA Title ladder match and he is in gorilla for all the tapings. i remember the internet making a big deal out of the fact that he relocated from TX to FL to some extent for the role.
