Yeah, I don't think it's quite as extreme as the Underoath thing. I think it's more a hard break from typical American evangelicalism, which I fully agree with.

New Underoath is so bad. I feel like those dudes got in a room and was like “ok guys we need to expand our fan base, we definitely need to say “fuck” on our first single”, lol.

To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere

Secured my tickets for San Diego, Anaheim, and Los Angeles. I’m thinking album will come out in September.

I mean, I think doubting <insert your god of choice here> and realizing it’s mostly bullshit is kind of human nature. Just takes some longer than others.

This sentence read really weird to me. I get it now, after reading it 3 times. Haha

    It didn't work.

Epitaph is pushing Teenage Wrist hard. To go from opening from TWIABP and PBTT to Thrice is a pretty big jump.

The new Underoath is really good and has some great songs on it. Doesn't matter what their past stuff sounded like, bands are allowed to change style. We are in a Thrice thread, a band who does this more extreme than most (compare Paper Tigers to Moving Mountains)

I don’t think you need to worry. Dustin is still a Christian, just not in the way he used to be.

Nothing about the lyrics of the new song or Dustin's twitter interactions suggest to me that he is any less a Christian now than he has been. Faith is hard and I kind of side eye any religious person who says they don't have consistent doubts

I hate to say it but I'm a little underwhelmed by The Grey :(

The only reason I am is because @Mike J has me wanting a version where Anthony Green sings the bridge.

I'm underwhelmed by The Grey too, unfortunately. I still like it ok, but it just feels like an above average hard rock track. That lead is super generic and I know Teppei can do so much better. Gives me a bit of a B-Side feel...

    Blood In the Sand

I thought the lyrics read to be a rebuke of "words in the water" but I could be very wrong.

    I hope that I am.

Blood On The Sand didn’t floor me when I first heard it. I feel the same way about The Grey too.

I’m hoping it grows on me, but I am also certain we have not heard the best single or song from this album yet.
