Every once in awhile id match with someone Id think is in my league or better. But unfortunately they are always hard to talk to. Why can't the pretty ones be down-to-earth as well? I have enough self respect to unmatch even the hottest of them, but I do know if the date goes relatively well i'd propose in an instant

 

I always see the accounts where the people are like, "got some degrees, killing it with my career, blah." And I'm like, "NOPE."

I don't need to have that embarrassing conversation that makes me feel like a loser.

 

I doubt all those people are "killing it with their career". I have my degree and currently working in a min wage food service job because it's hard to food a job in my field where I live that doesn't require a masters, or some kind of certification. Don't feel like a loser

 

I avoid anyone with a post grad degree or in grad school, I definitely feel less worth in comparison

Haha I went on a date with a woman who had just gotten her masters. I was a junior in college. We didn't have much in common, haha.

 

I had been in a relationship for almost the entire time that tinder has been a thing so I had never used it, but about a week ago I got it just out of boredom, mostly. Didn't expect much out of it. Matched with a cute girl after a few days and within a few hours of talking we seemed to connect well enough that I just said fuck it and asked her out. Was the first time I've ever actually been on an actual "first date" (her's too, I think), but we just got coffee and talked nonstop for a few hours and it went great and we kissed and are planning to see each other again soon so hooray for me

 

Education aside, how do you tell a prospective date that you live with your parents? I sincerely believe that's the deal breaker, right there. It wouldn't bother me because I know circumstances can suck, but I feel like the other person would think it's weird.

I've met one person on tinder but several from okc. The girl on tinder is a serial dater it seems. The rest have all just died out after a while of talking. In other words, be patient!

 

Alright, Internet quasi-strangers, I need some advice! Hanging out with a girl for the first time tomorrow and we're going to walk a dog that I'm house-sitting. Problem is that the house is out of town and I don't really want to transport the dog. Should I give the lady the address or drive out there with her, or any other better ideas?

Counting the money I have by living with my parent. Well I pay mortgage too.

 

If I didn't have to share a room with my 15 year old sister when I lived at my dad's I totally would've stayed there longer. Too awkward when she'd have sleepovers and I'd be the rando adult lol. But it was nice. I always had company, he has an xbox, lots of movies, all the streaming services hooked up to the tv, and I saved like $700 more a month. Not bad.

 

You folks are lucky. My mother made me pay five hundred dollars a month for rent.

 

They def are lucky. They were waaay worse off when I was growing up. If I'd stayed there any longer I think he would've started charging me. My friends are always like "woah!! You pay all your bills?! Your parents don't help pay any of it?" And I always get a bit jealous lol but I guess it's nice to be self sufficient (I say that but on the inside every time I pay bills I weep for my bank account lol)

 

my rent is 2000 a month. Probably another k on top for bills. On top of that the dating scene in my city is interestingly peculiar. If I was Dexter Morgan in his last minutes id fit right in.

 

I'd be homeless under a bridge if my rent and stuff was that much.

 

haha well to be fair it's $1925. In 5 months I'll be on the street corner slinging dope, or asking passerby's if they want to have a good time...But hopefully I get a job between now and 5months
