I have truly whack opinions about one of my top 5 favorite bands ever okay

 

Bunch of riff raff in here

 

You forgot Under a Killing Moon and the ending to Abolition of Man, but I 100%

 

Under a killing moon is probably the best besides blood clots

 

the way dustin sings silhouette now live has made me appreciate the song more

 

when they play silhouette I mosh every single damn time

 

lol it's one of my favorite albums ever and I still accidentally call it the artist and the ambulance over half the time

 

I usually feel to old to mosh... but I’m with you. When Silhouette starts I go for it every time

All Thrice's albums are all solid in my eyes. Illusion has a special place in my heart so it gets a bigger boost. *shrug*

 

Hey at least we can all agree that Circles is the best song of all time right, if anything I’m just glad that’s settled

 

Was really hoping The Grey would be posted on streaming services tonight.

 

Most songns aren’t until after official announcement right?

I would say this is in contention for my favorite Thrice song with Atlantic, Open Water, Daedalus and A Song For Milly Michaelson... ok it’s probably my favorite.

 

I don’t understand why Major/minor is so underrated around here.

Yellow Belly is a solid song, Promises is great, Blinded’s drum parts are otherworldly, Cataracts rules, Call it in the air and Treading Paper are average (but not bad), Blur is good, Words in the water is AMAZING, Listen through me is not up to the rest of the songs, Anthology absolutely rocks and Disarmed is a gem.

It’s a frickin great record, guys.

 

And if we talk about riffs... Like Moths To Flame says hello.

Finally someone similar to me! My top is basically a 4-way tie between Vheissu, Beggars, M/m, and Illusion

 

With M/m you can tell the band was super burned out, tired and uninspired. They desperately needed a break at that point. Also it’s Dustin’s worse lyrics overall imo

 

All I can see is a bunch of great songs, to be honest. And their farewell show in London in 2012 was sooo good that I’ll be grateful for M/m until the day I die.

 

Even though I love Beggars, M/M was a much needed pick me up after an album with mostly soft and stripped down songs. I dunno how much I would have loved another Earth/Beggars type album right away, glad we got the grunge style of Yellow Belly instead.

 

New song officially goes online today right? Anybody know what time?

 

I think they only said news coming today, with the assumption that the song comes online, who I'm not sure if any of that is confirmed.
