street lights was one of my mom’s favorite songs and it makes me cry now :)

 

The Prayer, Pursuit of Happiness, Erase Me, and Dose of Dopeness are the only Cudi songs I don’t skip when they come up on shuffle.

unironically some Kanye involvement would have helped that album so much (although it was around the time of Pablo so I guess sequencing probably wasn't ye's strong suit at that point)

still love PP&DS a lot tho

 

Love seeing some Cudi love on here for once. I'm well aware he's not a great rapper or singer but he's probably in my top 5 hip-hop artists ever, something about his music just connects with me 100%. I even like some songs on SB2H

When I heard his hook on Ghost Town for the first time I got the biggest dumb smile on my face

 

Cudi is great. He's always had killer production (either by himself or from others), and he has a sincerity that makes him really convincing/relatable even when he's delivering absolute trash bars. he's definitely got talent if he could just figure out how to focus it.

Incidud and SB2H are his only bad releases and even then there's redeeming stuff on both

When a new album comes out I usually just search on youtube "[insert album title] review." Other than bigquint, anyone else you guys watch?
I actually really enjoy watching Complex Ambition.....they dont say groundbreaking stuff but it just reminds me of when I was younger and me and my friends would drive around with a new album blasting it with the windows down.
