Fun to rank again, feels like it’s been a while

 

I love Illusion! It’s got some of my fav jams on it.

 

"The Grey" is about Dustin wanting grey Jedi, instead of the usual light vs. dark side. Balance requires a little bit of both, hence (g)Rey. I'm totally right! RIGHT?!

 

Illusion changed our lives back in 2002.

 

My only wish for "The Grey" is that it returned to the intro/verse (sans vocals) and played around with it for a bit before the Anthony Green bridge. A build-up, perhaps. That's where the crowd would start to clap as a lead in to the Anthony Green melody. However, I think they knew this would be a radio song so they played it relatively safe as far as experimentation. Still, the verses are bold, especially for radio.

You know what's funny, everyone is attacking me for my illusion/identity take and not for having Vheissu below artist

 

It just made my heart cry.

 

Right there with ya man. Vheissu is really good and I absolutely understand why people love it, but imo TAITA accomplishes what it’s trying to do just a little better than Vheissu did

 

One is subjective. The other . . .

 

While we’re sharing unpopular Thrice opinions, I really like Yellow Belly a whole lot (just not really the rest of that album)

 

I just want to re-direct everyone’s attention to this gem of a session. #neverforget

Artist has all the best riffs of their career besides black honey

Yellow belly to Promises is actually a great 1-2 lunch.
Maybe I’ll listen to Mm today

 

I’m not saying they’re bad riffs, but Black Honey doesn’t even have the best riff on that album. Plus you’re neglecting their absolute best riff in the ending of To Awake and Avenge the Dead, plus gems like The Weight, The Window, Of Dust and Nations, and Come All You Weary.

 

Black honey slaps it's simple but huge reminds me of artists approach

 

Anyway I already made my claim (the weight is my favorite riff of theirs actually) so now I'm just gonna double down instead of admit the riffs on fire do indeed slap harder than several artist songs
