My initial favorites are "The Long Defeat" "Stay with Me" and "Salt and Shadow."

I predicted the very second the track listing was released that "Defeat" would be one of my favorites, seeing as one of my other favorite artists has a song with that title. And a song I love very much! Here it is, in case anyone's curious.

 

For anyone interested, they just streamed a live acoustic show on their Facebook page. The connection was all messed up but I think the recording is available now - all TBEITBN songs (that unsurprisingly sound great live and acoustic).

 

If someone can find a way to post that stream it would be much appreciated. Don't have FB.

 

Picked up a physical copy after work. Almost positive it's 180 gram. The artwork in the booklet is phenomenal and the quality too. Still want that cookies and cream variant.

Also spun Beggars and Major/Minor last night. Forgot how much I love this band.

 

Yeah after being in such a honeymoon phase with this album I want to go back, and listen to Vheissu/TAI. It's been a while since I jammed those.

Also just confirmed with the sound guy that it was recorded so praying for a live at fingerprints record release at some point. They honestly sounded so good tonight. I think that the acoustic made me love the songs more

 

I heard Black Honey, bits of Death From Above. What was the third song?

 

They played Black Honey, then Blood on the Sand, Death from Above, Stay with Me, The Long Defeat and then Dustin closed with Hurricane on his own

I would kill to hear Long Defeat acoustic & live. I hope it doesn't come to that, but those are the stakes. Death From Above sounded terrific, even through that stream.

Ya I just turned on the audio recorder on my iPhone and stuck it in my jacket pocket. I was way towards the back but right in the sound pocket so hopefully it sounds semi decent for you.

Very nice, it's actually quite decent. And compared to some of the crap live recordings I downloaded from Limewire a decade ago... it's seriously appreciated.

 

I could have been at Fingerprints tonight, but at least June 3rd will do.

Hey that means a lot. Thanks. I wrote quite a bit about it before release in the supporter forum and here, I may try and out those all together in some form.

 

Forever is a long time. I'd argue I write more about music than I ever did in long form pieces now than ever before though. Saosin, Good Charlotte, Thrice, all got long thoughts in the forums over the past few months.
