Love this but hate that Sirius messed up. Sucks for the band that they can't roll it out how they wanted to.

    Quality is garbagé

    But

The last minute and half sounded really promising from what i could make out.
Like when Dustin draws out a verse following a bass heavy bridge.

randomly premiering a song with no announcement whatsoever (before or after) on sirus radio seems.....like a horrible marketing plan

Kinda get a Nickleback vibe from the song.

Just kidding. It’s ok. I have high expectations as they are my fav band though.

Beggars is the best album of all time.

    Fight the long defeat.

After spinning the song a few times, I hear lyrical themes of religious ambiguity and convictional adjustment. Makes me wonder about the extent to which the dissolution of Mars Hill affected Dustin's own spiritual leanings.

Not having seen the movie, does anyone know if these (or other) themes are shared with The Grey (Liam Neeson)? I know Dustin practically lifted 'Call It in the Air' from No Country for Old Men.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

I don’t think it has anything to do with the Liam Neeson flick trying to survive a pack of wolves. But that’s interesting some of the other lyrical content you’ve picked up on.

I instantly took away from the lyrics that he's shying away from the more conservative views he's held in the past.

I know Dustin is still a Christian, but he no longer believes in the rigidity of the evangelical church he was part of before.

The bridge sounds like Circa or something Anthony Green-y. I can't quite put my finger on it yet.

But there's some Arsonist-y vibes here and I'm cool with all sorts of Arsonist-y vibes. Ed sounds beefier and Teppei can be heard!

The Sirius Online player has an OnDemand Octane thing for Test Drive; you can play it there.

'Blood on the Sand' was released two months before the album was released. So, first week of August release?
