These performances really highlight what a powerhouse Derek is behind the kit. The fact he often plays open-handed whilst also singing backing vocals is incredible.

 

Derek always has tasteful fills i find. Like it's impressive without being overly obnoxious.

 

So far I only listened to Good Mourning but it sounds fantastic.

 

I’m shocked with how well the Agony and Irony songs translated live.

 

Seeing it live is even better. For as much as people trash that album it has the most songs that people would sing along too.

 

I just wish the recordings were from one of the sets I saw. It’s still so special to listen and relive those shows though. I really love how you can hear the crowd throughout and that they kept some of the banter.

 

Just finished listening to all of them. I’m trio-ed the fuck out lol

 

It blows my mind that people don't like that record. It's SO GOOD. I don't think it's my favorite (that's probably Crimson or Good Mourning) but it's the one I go back to the most.

A few people were talking about Derek's drumming up above. That record is full of super tasteful and musical drumming.

 

My blu-ray finally shipped! Fucking finally! Holding off from listening to Past Live until they arrive.

 

Hoping mine does soon. I need a blu Ray player haha.

 

That record has so much going on. The production is amazing. I know we all love Finns production but the production on AandI is my favorite production regarding their albums.

 

Tonight, like we do every year, my buds and I will play a whole set of trio songs for this charity house show event thingy. My favorite weekend of the summer!

I like how Dan's voice progressively get's more fucked throughout each album. Poor dude haha

 

Hah I haven't finished a full album besides MICF and FHTI but I thought In Vein was the roughest I've ever heard his voice lol

 

His rough voice sounds awesome though I think

Yeah Dan definitely sounds like he's in "I Lied My Face Off" era Dan on all of these songs haha

 

Yeah, I was kind of bummed with his vocals on Do You Wanna Know. :(
One of my favorite Alk3 songs ever.

 

Aside from I Pessimist (Derek vox ftw) idk if I'd listen to the MSIT audio again over the studio version. The weakest one for me easily
