I think fallout 76 is gonna be a crossover survival/battle royale thing

 

it's just going to be fortnite's save the world mode

 

i don't remember the last time i went from hyped to bummed for a game so damn fast lol

oh well. red dead will be out this year at least

I’m interested if it plays like Fallout 4. While I didn’t like much from that game I really liked the way it controlled.

 

I like survival games, and I like fallout.

And it seems like a good match on paper, I'll definitely give it a try

 

didn't Konami just make that for metal gear and everyone hated them for it

 

I wonder if this means a new engine. Or at least a different one.

If I remember correctly the creation engine wasn’t able to support multiplayer. They’ve obviously had time to rebuild it though.

 

Konamis metal gear survive was an obvious attempt to cash in on the metal gear ip without Kojima

fallout is not designed to be a multiplayer game imo, the lone wanderer etc. if literally all i need to do is pop in the game and open it up like i would with regular campaigns, then fine, whatever, i guess. but if i need to buy xbox gold or any of that crap...severely disappointed.

 

Hard pass.

 

Oh nice, i was a huge fan of Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland so I’ll check that out for sure.

Fallout thing sounds like it'll be cool, but i never end up putting too much time into online games like that as I think i'm going to, so prob gonna hold off on it. interested to hear more tho

 

here's a compromise, make it like far cry 5 with the single player stuff and then have the "arcade" online part

It's super good. It plays just like an older game which can be a little frustrating, but it's also super charming haha
