I really, really like those lyrics. I was huge into confessional poetry at uni. Everything has sort of slipped off the radar for me, but reading those reminded me of how I felt when I would study confessional writing. It's fascinating to me, and while it's all too easy to sound cliche or forced, I've generally found Matty has a talent for that kind of thing. I'm hoping this song is something of a slow-burner, in a way. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the lyrics and music in their previous work, but echoing my sentiment earlier about Me, I appreciate art a lot more when it doesn't try to distract from it's actual meaning, or attempt to make it more accessible. On the other hand, I also appreciate Me wouldn't exactly make for a radio-friendly unit shifter, and that being able to write and sing about these things, in whatever context, must be cathartic and a release of sorts. Sorry - rambled on. Anyway, very excited. As are all y'all.

You got that from the lyrics or the tiny soundbite? I definitely see that with the lyrics. The soundbite sounded kinda twinkly to me, almost Ballad-like. But with guitars. I don’t know what I’m saying. I’ve lostmyhead.

Didn't someone who heard it said it was a love song? lol Might be more of a ballad-y type song. Interesting choice, if so.
