On that point, this movie’s greatest failing is that Alden doesn’t look enough like Tom Selleck. What a missed opportunity.

What up with the rogue one hate in here, I loved that movie.

 

My issue with maul being in this movie is that it can’t set up other solo movies bc han isn’t supposed to believe in the force during a New hope... if he encounters a former Sith Lord then doesn’t that create a huge plot hole?

 

I liked this movie, but your post made me imagine this as an Edgar Wright film. And damn, that would have been fantastic.

 

I think it may have been a set up for Boba Fett and Obi-Wan, not Solo 2.

 

That was one thing I thought of.

 

Please god don’t make a “Solo 2.” It’s more unnecessary than this one was, although this movie was fun and entertaining.

But really, if they’re gonna do these spin off movies about certain characters, just do one of them each. No fucking sequels, other than maybe some character cameos, if need be.

 

Gonna look for that L3/Lando fanfiction

 

Most things would be better as Edgar Wright films... and this one really would have been amazing as one

I had an absolutely blast with this movie. sure there were some wonky things like "how he gets his name" haha, but overall I thought it was great. the way it was filmed was beautiful but also dirty, felt like it belonged in the star wars universe. it was an adventure film, a heist, a western. really enjoyed it, pleasantly surprised. this and Rogue One are still my favorites over TFA and TLJ.

 

What if that is the reason Han doesn't shoot first against Greedo (anyone). His compassion towards Beckett after he shot was amazing, and could have changed his opinion on shooting first.
Just a thought.

 

I know it would be retreading Rebels (or Clone Wars, I haven't seen either) but an Obi Wan movie where Darth Maul was the villain would be SO COOL.

 

Darth Maul fucking sucks.
