    Okay, my final prediction.

A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships - I think this is going to be some sort of short film of sorts. Kind of like how Frank Ocean released Endless before Blonde, this feels somewhat the same. Mostly because Jamie had tweeted saying that they weren’t doing an EP anymore because it turned into something bigger. I could see them doing some sort of short film that ties in the themes of all of the photos they’ve been posting with some sort of voice over and the music that would have been used for the EP turned into the soundtrack for it.

Music For Cars - the album catalogue number being before the single catalogue number makes sense if the album was done first, and then the lead single was picked immediately afterward. So I think this is still the full length album.

Give Yourself A Try - the single we’ll hear on Thursday, obviously.

Order of operation: the single premieres on Thursday afternoon and shortly afterward at midnight the single is live on streaming platforms, the short film is released on their website with the music that would have been on the EP and Music For Cars pre-orders go up with a September release date.

In a perfect world we’d get the album Friday but I feel like this is more realistic. I’d rather be pleasantly surprised than incredibly disappointed.

The latest poster on Twitter with the lyrics seems to indicate Music for Cars is coming out in 2019. Or am I misreading that?

every single one of the posters has said that

we've all assumed that just means the release cycle period because they are a band very focused on the cycle.

How come it takes so long? Is that typical?

It actually is, strangely. Songs usually get pushed to radio a few weeks after online release.

I am all for mellow 1975, but this one better be a bop.
